Slee Blackwell Solicitors shortlisted for three 2026 DASLS Legal Awards.

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted in three major categories at the DASLS Legal Awards 2026.

The firm has been recognised in the following categories:

  • Law Firm of the Year (£4M+ turnover)
  • Solicitor of the Year – Caroline Webber-Brown
  • Team of the Year – Contentious Probate Department

These nominations reflect the strength of our legal work across Somerset and the South-West, as well as the dedication of our lawyers to delivering outstanding results for clients.

Recognition for legal excellence across Somerset and the South West

The DASLS Legal Awards, organised by the Devon & Somerset Law Society, celebrate excellence within the legal profession across the region. Being shortlisted in three categories is a significant achievement and highlights the continued growth and success of our teams working from Taunton and across Somerset.

The shortlist recognises not only legal expertise but also client care, innovation, teamwork, and commitment to professional standards.

Caroline Webber-Brown shortlisted for Solicitor of the Year

We are especially proud that medical negligence specialist Caroline Webber-Brown has been shortlisted for Solicitor of the Year.

Caroline is widely respected for her specialist expertise and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for her clients. Her nomination reflects the high standard of work she delivers and the difference she makes to the people she supports.

Recognition at this level is a testament to both her professionalism, and the trust placed in her by clients throughout Devon, Somerset and beyond.

Contentious Probate Department shortlisted for Team of the Year

Our Contentious Probate Team has also been shortlisted for Team of the Year.

The team, led by ACTAPS member Naomi Ireson, handles complex inheritance disputes involving:

  • contested wills
  • inheritance claims
  • disputes between executors and beneficiaries
  • trust disagreements
  • probate litigation

The team’s nomination reflects the strength of its specialist knowledge, its collaborative approach, and the results it achieves for clients across Taunton, Somerset, and nationally.

Shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year (£4M+ turnover)

Being shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year is recognition of the firm as a whole.

This category reflects:

  • the quality of legal services we provide
  • the strength of our specialist departments
  • our commitment to client care
  • continued investment in our people and services

It is particularly rewarding to see the firm recognised alongside other leading practices in the region.

Supporting clients across Taunton and Somerset

While awards are always welcome, our focus remains firmly on delivering practical, reliable legal advice to individuals and businesses across Devon, Somerset and the South-West region, including Bristol, where we recently opened an office.

We would like to thank our clients for their continued trust and support, which makes recognition like this possible.
